Dumebi Kachikwu, who is running for president as the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, said on Friday that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
Additionally, he urged Nigerians to exercise caution in light of COVID-19’s resurgence.
Kachikwu said in a statement that he was avoiding people and had put off all public appearances until he heard something bad.
He urged Nigerians to take the Corona virus seriously because infection rates have been rising quickly over the globe in recent weeks.
““Nigerians must not let their guard down even though the government has relaxed COVID laws,” the presidential aspirant warned.
“At a time when our medical personnel are fleeing the country in record numbers, our public health system is unable to handle the consequences of high infection rates and the accompanying symptoms.”
“We must intensify testing and implement all required safeguards to prevent the virus from spreading.”
“We must prevent political rallies from spreading COVID and undoing the progress accomplished in eradicating the virus.” If we’re all on guard, the Corona virus will pass us by.
