President Zelensky of Ukraine appoints Oby Ezekwesili as an ambassador
Former Nigerian minister Mrs. Obiageli Ezekwesili has been named an ambassador for the Ukrainian government’s “Grain from Ukraine” programme by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine. The severe repercussions of the world food crisis are to blame for this.
The move was taken by the Ukrainian government to aid nations that are experiencing acute food shortages as a result of the conflict with Russia.
Ezekwesili and her coworkers will be supporting the endeavour with foreign specialists and leaders, according to information released by the head office of the Ukrainian President, Andriy Yermak. More than 30 donor nations have joined the project since its start in November 2022.

“We see the possibility of expanding the project,” Yermak continued. To accomplish this, we require dependable partners who are knowledgeable and have a wide network.
“I am thrilled to accept the invitation of President @Zelenskyy to be one of three leading African specialists recently appointed as ambassadors of the “Grain from Ukraine” programme,” Ezekwesili stated on her Facebook page (Oby Ezekwesili) in response to her new assignment.
I’m happy to be a part of @DrJoyceBanda and @ChrisFomunyoh’s important programme to combat food insecurity.
