August’s Chelsea Goal of the Month honour goes to Carney Chukwuemeka.

Raheem Sterling, Nicolas Jackson, Zak Sturge, and Leo Castledine were all defeated by Chukwuemeka for the prize.

The young player received a resoundingly favourable response from the crowd for his outstanding goal in the Blues’ 3-1 loss to West Ham United.

In the 28th minute, the midfielder slipped past the West Ham defence before firing a hard shot beyond Alphonse Areola.

Chukwuemeka received 61 percent of the vote, while Sterling received 31 percent.

Due to a hamstring injury, the 19-year-old is presently out of commission.
