Postponement of the start of the 2023–2023 NPFL season

The start of the 2023–2024 Nigeria Professional Football League season has been delayed.

Earlier, the start of the new season was slated for August 26 on a Saturday.

According to OBASANJO NEWS24, the new start date has been set for September 8–10, 2023.

The requirement to set up the required logistics to guarantee a trouble-free competition led to the postponement.

In the meantime, Lagos will host the next season’s draw ceremony on Thursday.

Last season, Enyimba won the championship a record-breaking nine times.
