Portable, the Nigerian musician who is often a center of controversy, recently disclosed that his mentor in the music industry is Olamide – renowned rapper and YBNL chief.
In a recent interview with Echo Room, he revealed this information.
In 2021, Olamide received criticism for collaborating on the remix of his hit track “Zazu,” as stated by Portable.

Nevertheless, he has currently achieved international recognition with a feature from Skepta- a British rapper.
My Godfather in the industry is Olamide, as he brought me into it. However, I grew concerned when he ceased posting about me and sent him a message asking if there were any problems between us.
He said, “Despite the criticisms Olamide faced for helping me, I have now gone global and even Skepta has featured me. My world tour is a testament to my success.”
