Habeeb Okikiola, a well-known Nigerian artist who goes by the moniker Portable, has expressed his disillusionment after an interaction with Peter Obi – 2023 Labour Party presidential hopeful- during which he was in Benin city of Edo State.
Portable, popular for his frankness in a video that went viral, expressed disappointment over not receiving any financial assistance from Obi after meeting with him. Obi is the former presidential candidate.
According to the singer, the result would have varied if it were President Bola Tinubu.

While in Benin, the video recorded a brief interaction where Portable and Obi exchanged pleasantries. Afterward, speaking in Yoruba language, Portable expressed his disappointment by stating that “Obi didn’t give us anything”. He further compared him to Tinubu who would have given them something if they had met.
While Portable was in town for a show, Peter Obi visited Benin to campaign for Olumide Akpata, the gubernatorial candidate of Labour Party.
Portable’s remarks during the interaction with the other public figure have triggered a response on social media, leading to discussions among their followers.
