Diligent The Nigerian musician known as Portable, Habeeb Okikiola, has criticised his friend Davido for supposedly offering him “bad advice” at their last dinner in the US.
The vocalist of “Zazu” asserted that Davido, who signed with Sony Music, encouraged him to sign with Empire rather than the label and warned him against doing so.
Portable accused foul play, claiming that although the DMW chairman is encouraging him to sign with a label that might not affect his chances of winning a Grammy, he is also gunning for the same honour as Davido.

“You are signed to Sony Music, but you’re giving me bad advice in America to get signed to Empire and collect advance,” remarked Portable in a recent Instagram Live session. What I’m chasing is the same Grammy that you are.
The contentious singer declared that he would rather have helpers who would assist him in a sincere manner rather than listen to rumours or offer him poor advise.
“I received direct assistance from Olamide; Skepta gave me a verse, cash, shoes, clothes, and connections to high-end fashion labels.” I want God to provide me that type of assistance, not someone who will just talk the talk,” Portable stated.
