The singer, in a video shared at midnight on Monday, attributed his actions to past experience while addressing the controversy.

He implored God to forgive him and clarified that he assaulted the preacher under the impression that his presence would cause spiritual damage.

“I apologize to my fans, as the situations in our community are dissimilar from those on the street. I hope God will forgive me for not recognizing that he was a true man of faith; otherwise, I wouldn’t have struck him.”

“I, too, am a child of God and simply human. I acknowledge that imperfection is part of my nature. Regrettably, I have been left as an orphan due to circumstances beyond my control. Furthermore, this same tactic has caused harm to my sister in the past.”
