Tens of thousands of young people were gathering in a stadium in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s capital on Thursday to hear Pope Francis speak.

On the third day of his tour, the pope held the ceremony in Kinshasa, during which he again made appeals for peace and healing.

In Kinshasa on Wednesday, Francis celebrated Mass alongside approximately a million people.

He heads to South Sudan on Friday as he continues his journey.
