According to survey statistics, Americans desire a younger generation of lawmakers in Washington.

According to a new study, a vast majority of Americans believe that US President Joe Biden’s advanced years will prevent him from winning a second term in office.

According to a recent AP-NORC Centre for Public Affairs Research report, 77% of Americans think that Joe Biden, who will age 81 in November, is too elderly to serve as president if he is re-elected the following year. According to the survey, 89% of Republican respondents and 69% of Democrats share this opinion.

Eric Dezenhall, a former member of the Reagan White House staff, commented on Biden via the Associated Press in remarks made public on Monday. “Biden just seems to be very compromised by age-related conditions,” Dezenhall stated. Even his admirers believe him to be weak and not quite “there.”

Whatever Trump’s flaws may be, Dezenhall continued, “I don’t think most people see them as being disabled in a way that is related to their age.”

However, the poll found that almost 50% of Americans believe Trump’s age (77) will hurt his prospects of winning the US presidency again. Around two-thirds of respondents called for age restrictions on the president’s office and members of Congress, which appears to be largely representative of US voters’ preferences for a younger generation of lawmakers in Washington.

Similar to this, 67% of survey participants agree that Supreme Court justices should have mandatory retirement ages.

They represent “a sense of values and a sense of the country and the world that just isn’t accurate anymore,” a 28-year-old communications specialist named Noah Burden told the AP, adding that both senior politicians on each side of the aisle are “too old overall.”

The study also revealed that 15% of respondents commonly used the phrases “slow” and “confused” to describe Biden. According to a survey of 1,165 adults taken between August 10 and 14, the same percentage (15%) of respondents called Trump “corrupt” and “crooked.”
