Yunusa Tanko, the former spokesperson of the now-defunct Obi-Datti presidential campaign council, expressed his approval of the recent unity between the Labour Party’s Deputy Chairman, Lamidi Apapa, and the National Chairman’s faction, Julius Abure.
Tanko emphasised that the decision of Abure and Apapa’s faction to set aside their disagreements and collaborate signifies a shared objective within the LP.
Tanko highlighted the dynamic nature of politics and acknowledged that unforeseen alliances can emerge at any moment, suggesting that if unity serves the common good, it should be embraced.
Tanko stressed the importance of unity within the party, stating that as long as the collaboration benefits everyone involved, it should be supported, but if it serves ulterior motives, it warrants scrutiny.
Tanko concluded by affirming that maintaining unity within the party should be the primary goal, especially if that was the intended outcome of the recent developments between Abure and Apapa’s factions.
