The political destiny of Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno is allegedly under peril.
Eno claimed that the political elite threatened to oust him from office if he didn’t share wealth.
In remarks to journalists on Saturday in Uyo, the state capital, he revealed this.
The Governor encouraged politicians to refrain from sidetracking his administration since he was working to find solutions to the problems that the State’s citizens were facing.
I’ve gotten numerous threats from the political establishment that I won’t run for a second term, claims Eno.
“I am investing in rural development because a successful first term is preferable to an unsuccessful second term.
“I don’t want to increase the amount of money in the hands of one person at the expense of the 7.9 million population.”
Eno urged politicians to allow him until December to set the State’s governance system on the proper course.
