Alex Otti, the Governor of Abia State, emphasized that his administration is dedicated to ensuring that the masses benefit from the fruits of democracy, not just a select few privileged politicians.
He expressed his commitment to providing good governance that reaches the common people, highlighting that previous political leaders in the state have primarily focused on enriching themselves rather than serving the public.
Otti’s recent decision to clear the backlog of pension arrears dating back to 2014 was a clear demonstration of his dedication to the welfare of the masses, who have been neglected by the ruling class.

He assured the audience that under his leadership, pensioners in Abia State would no longer be left unpaid, emphasizing that his directive for pensioners to be paid on the 28th of every month starting from April was already in effect.
Otti reiterated that it is now the time for the people to benefit from governance, as politicians have taken advantage of the system for the past 24 years.
