Obiageli Ezekwesili, a former minister of education, claims that the political elites are to blame for the country’s instability because they are too preoccupied with sharing power to actually rule.

The political elite, according to Ezekwesili, only see governance as “a series of transactions” in a post she made on her verified Twitter account on Friday.

According to the former minister, only a united populace acting as a unit can defeat “wicked leadership.”

In a letter to the editor, she stated, “Our decadent political class are busy sharing public positions in a country they have run aground; entirely ignorant to the condition of mind of its citizenry.

Ecclesiastics 10:16 in the Bible says, “Woe to you, O land, whose king was a servant and whose princes feast in the morning.” This group of people is greatly deserving of sympathy.

“He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall mock them.” Then, in his rage, he will speak to them and annoy them with his bitter indignation.
Psalm 2:4-5.”

“A political class that views governance as nothing more than “a series of transactions” has as its ultimate purpose the eroding of the Nigerian State.

“In a democracy, the citizens acting as a unit to end the “curse of wicked leadership” constitute the balancing power against them.
