Mukaila Lamidi, also known as Auxiliary, the former chairman of the Park Management System (PMS), has been invaded by the police in Oyo.

The Ibadan residence of Auxiliary was reportedly raided by police who recovered weapons and ammunition.

Auxiliary reportedly evaded during the operation, but several of his lieutenants were apprehended by the police.

After the search, there was perceptible tension in some areas of the state, particularly in main vehicle parks and garages in Ibadan, the capital.

Several unsubstantiated casualties were reportedly sustained during the standoff between the police and PMS members.

After the assault on Auxiliary’s residence, a significant quantity of arms, ammunition, charms, and dangerous firearms were reportedly recovered.

Tuesday’s statement by the Oyo State Police Command confirmed the development.

In addition to the weapons recovered from them, 724 cartridges, assorted trinkets, 33 mobile phones, and N3.4 million in currency were found in their possession.

In addition, during the investigation, sophisticated firearms were recovered from hotel rooms and the trunks of stationary vehicles within the hotel, according to the statement.

“It is noteworthy that, although the PMS Chieftain was able to escape with some of his men during the gun battle with the police, a member of the group was neutralized during the gun battle.

“Recall that the same group was allegedly responsible for the attack on (14) Fourteen members of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) along the Agodi axis under the Ibadan North-East LGA en route to the venue of yesterday’s inaugural celebrations.”
