Police Rescue Wife of Retired AIG Hakeem Odumosu from Kidnappers
The wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has been successfully rescued by law enforcement officers after being abducted by unknown gunmen. Details of the rescue operation are still emerging, but sources confirm that security agencies acted swiftly to ensure her safe return.
Folashade Odumosu, the wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police Hakeem Odumosu, has been rescued by operatives from the Nigeria Police Force.
The victim was freed on Wednesday.
Information was obtained that Lanre Ogunlowo, the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, led the operation which resulted in rescuing the retired AIG’s wife.
Force spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi revealed Folashade’s rescue during a phone interview with Channels Television on Thursday.
During the operation, the kidnappers were apprehended.
Adejobi mentioned that the officers also retrieved the ransom used as bait for the kidnappers.
Nonetheless, he declined to reveal the sum paid to the kidnappers or specify the exact location of the victim’s rescue.
Adejobi mentioned that Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, praised the Commissioner of Police and police officers for their rescue efforts.
The police spokesperson reaffirmed the Nigeria Police’s dedication to protecting Nigerian citizens and the country.
Folashade Odumosu, the wife of the retired AIG, was abducted last Thursday at the entrance to her residence in Arepo, located within Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The kidnappers forcibly removed the former AIG’s wife from her Lexus SUV and led her through a swampy area to an undisclosed location.
