Travelers who were abducted by bandits along the Omi Alafa road in Ifon, Ose Local Government Area have been successfully rescued by the Ondo State Police Command.

The rescued group comprised of five individuals which included NYSC members.

On Monday, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the state’s police spokesperson stated that due to unyielding pressure exerted by a senior officer-led police team, the bandits abandoned their victims.

According to the statement, on July 22nd, authorities discovered individuals who had been kidnapped in the Ose/Ifon region on July 18th of 2024. After law enforcement placed pressure on those responsible for their abduction, they were left behind by their captors.

After receiving necessary attention at the Police Medical Services Owo, the victims will undergo debriefing and subsequently be handed over to their respective families. This information was stated in a release.
