Police Rescue 10 Pregnant Women from Baby Factory in Akwa Ibom
In a shocking incident, police have rescued 10 pregnant women from a baby factory in Akwa Ibom. Authorities are investigating the operation to uncover the full extent of the illegal activities involved.
Eunice Eze, a 56-year-old operator of a baby factory, has been apprehended by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command for trafficking in human beings.
As part of their rescue operation to curb this illegal trade and protect vulnerable victims from exploitation and harm, ten pregnant women were safely rescued.
On Tuesday, at the Police Headquarters in Ikot Akpanabia, Uyo, Commissioner of Police Waheed Ayilara declared this during a briefing.
On July 15th at World Bank Estate in Owerri, the culprit was captured at 4:30 p.m. based on credible information received.

Ayilara reported, “Mrs. Eunice Eze (age 56) has been taken into custody for operating a baby trafficking business within World Bank Estate in Owerri.”
Her specialty is taking babies and expectant mothers from Akwa Ibom with the assistance of her associate Ability Tom.’
Alongside the operation, law enforcement officers apprehended a well-known abductor who had ties to numerous kidnappings and killings across the region.
The search resulted in uncovering an assortment of weaponry such as two AK-47 rifles, two G3 rifles, one double-barreled rifle, five magazines while also discovering seven live rounds of ammunition hidden within a privately-owned funeral home repurposed for storing weapons located in Ekeya’s Okobo Local Government Area.”
Commissioner Ayilara conveyed his appreciation to the state government, allied security agencies and observant people who delivered timely information resulting in these arrests. He accentuated on preserving an ongoing partnership for assuring peace and safety within Akwa Ibom’s borders.
