According to Defence Headquarters, Operation Whirl Stroke soldiers seized a factory that makes weapons in Wukari, Taraba, and detained two alleged gunrunners.
The military personnel responded to reliable intelligence, according to a statement released on Saturday by Maj.-Gen. Musa Danmadami, director of defense media operations.
Danmadami reported that on Friday, the forces found seven rifle butts, numerous other rifle parts, two GPMG, one KPM, four AK 47 rifles, three handguns, one PKT, five 9mm rounds, and two 7.63 x 54 rounds.
He said that the competent authorities received the detained criminals, guns, and ammo for further action.
“The military high command commends troops of Operation Whirl Stroke and encourages the general public to avail troops with credible and timely information on terrorists and all criminal activities within their area,” he stated.
