Naira Marley and Sam Larry are allegedly linked to cyberbullying, physical harassment, a danger to life, and an assault on Afrobeats musician Mohbad, according to the Lagos police authorities.

Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad, passed away last month under mysterious circumstances. After the Afrobeats singer’s death, footage of alleged bullying and abuse surfaced again, and many people accused Naira Marley (Abdulazeez Fashola) and Sam Larry (Samson Balogun) of being complicit. The two have refuted this accusation.

However, Naira Marley and Sam Larry are implicated in the assault of Mohbad, according to information presented in a briefing on Friday by Lagos State Police Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa.

“Although Abdulazeez Fashola (Naira Marley) and Samson Balogun (Sam Larry) denied accusations of criminal responsibility in the death of Mohbad and pleaded an alibi to support their denial of involvement in the incident that took place between September 10 and September 12, 2023, there is ample electronic and reliable witness evidence linking them to cyberbullying, a threat to life, an assault that caused harm, and conduct that was likely to result in a breach of the peace against

Commissioner Owohunwa identified an auxiliary nurse, Ms. Feyisayo Ogedengbe, as the main suspect in Mohbad’s death despite the fact that the two have been detained by the police.

In relation to their alleged roles in the series of incidents that resulted in the singer’s murder, five suspects have thus far been identified, apprehended, detained, and questioned, the official said.

He claimed Ogedengbe gave Mohbad “multiple and highly potent” doses. He mentioned that the Tetanus Toxoid, paracetamol, and Cetrazone (an antibiotic) shots were given to the singer on September 12 at his home.

According to the commissioner, Ogedengbe performed the duties of a home nurse in a non-clinical setting and was therefore unqualified to do so.
