Police Parade Ebonyi Monarch Killers Suspects
On February 27, men carrying AK-47 rifles thought to be confraternity members killed Eze Ewa inside his compound.
On Tuesday, the Ebonyi State Police Command unveiled four suspects who were reportedly involved in the killing of Eze Christopher Ewa, the local chief of the Umuezeokaha village in the state’s Ezza North Local Government Area (LGA).
On February 27, men armed with AK-47 rifles thought to be members of a fraternity assassinated the monarch in his compound.

SP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, the state’s police public relations officer (PPRO), told journalists that the command had been pursuing all of the criminals involved and that while some were still at large, four important suspects had been taken into custody.
Onovwakpoyeya also revealed that four further criminals had been detained for being part of a group that preyed on unsuspecting members of the public.
Two firearms built in the area were found.
The police assured the citizens of Ebonyi that the accused would be apprehended and brought before the law, adding that efforts were still being made to catch other suspects who were still on the run.
