A suspended Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Vandi, was found guilty and given a death by hanging sentence by the Lagos State High Court for the murder of lawyer Mrs Omobolanle Raheem of Lagos. The court was convened in the Tafawa Balewa Square Annex, Igbosere, Lagos island.
The Lagos State Government, the prosecution, has proven its case against the convicted party beyond a reasonable doubt, according to Justice Ibironke Harrison.
“The defendant is convicted of murder on one count by the court. The judge declared, “You will be hanged by your neck until you die.

The 41-year-old pregnant lawyer was shot and killed at the Ajah underbridge checkpoint on December 25, 2022, according to the Lagos State Government’s arraignment of Vandi before the court on January 16.
The defendant was charged with murder in violation of Section 223 of the Lagos State Criminal Law from 2015.
