Police nab man for cutting friend’s ear in Lagos abattoir
According to Lagos State Police, a guy was detained for amputating his friend’s ear at the State’s Agege abattoir.

Abdulahi Adulmalik’s ear was purportedly severed by Bashiru Ahmed on January 8, 2024, due to a miscommunication that occurred between the two in 2023.
On Wednesday, January 10, the arrest was verified by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command. He continued by saying that the event happened in an abattoir in Agege, Lagos, on Monday, January 8.
According to him, the case was reported to the Abattoir Police Division on Monday by one Abdullahi Adulmalik of the Abattoir Market.
The complainant said that at roughly 4:00 in the morning on the same day, Bashiru Ahmed, a resident of Abattoir Market, chopped off his right ear with a knife because to a disagreement they had in 2023.
“After being taken to the hospital, the victim is still receiving treatment.”
According to Hundeyin, the suspect was being held in order to be questioned.
