Nigerians have been urged by the Katsina State Police Command to ignore a trending social media video that claims that its personnel diverted palliative care.

The police made it clear in an official statement provided by their public relations officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, that the video is deceptive and meant to damage their reputation.

According to ASP Sadiq, an extensive investigation revealed that the sacks of rice seen in the video being transported inside a police car had been caught and recovered from dishonest people. These people had gotten an excessive amount of the palliatives fraudulently, and the police swiftly returned them to the distribution location.

He bemoaned the fact that the film misrepresents the events and discredits the officers’ valiant attempts to facilitate the orderly and secure delivery of palliatives at the occasion.

The Command noted the issues brought up by the general public as a result of the video and urged everyone to use caution and critical thinking while consuming online content.

The police department reiterated its dedication to provide the people of the state with honest and ethical service and stressed the significance of banding together to combat false information and fight to create a stronger and more understanding community.
