Police in Kano successfully dismantle notorious armed robbery syndicate
Seven gang members of the infamous armed robbery organisation that terrorises the Kano-Katsina States axis have been apprehended by police in Kano State.
This was said by the command’s spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, in a statement provided to Obasanjo News24.
He said that this came about as a result of the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP. Mohammed Gumel, going on a manhunt to root out criminal activity in the area.

He stated that police were able to apprehend Ibrahim Rabiu, 27, of Kwanar Ungogo Quarters, the mastermind of multiple armed robbery crimes, together with seven of his fellow countrymen.
He said that the following items were found during the operation: 27 potwin injections, 135 pieces of Exol tablets, 10 sachets of Diazepam tablets, five parcels of dried leaves thought to be Indian hemp, three Papalow swords, four cutlasses, and two unregistered motorcycles.
Kiyawa stated that after the inquiry was over, the suspects would face charges in court.
