The Imo State Police Command apprehended two individuals, Kelechi Ekeopra and John Aburodo, who are believed to be involved in drug trafficking.
During a raid conducted by the anti-narcotics unit in Ihiagwa, Owerri West Local Government Area on April 18, 2024, a significant amount of suspected Indian Hemp was seized from the suspects’ criminal hideout.
In a statement released by Henry Okoye, the police spokesperson in the state, it was emphasized that the Command is committed to cracking down on drug dealers and peddlers operating within Imo State.

Both Kelechi Ekeopra and John Aburodo are currently in police custody as investigations are underway to identify other individuals involved in the distribution network.
Once the investigation is concluded, they will be brought before the court for legal proceedings.
