According to the Gombe State Police Command, a gunfight on Friday resulted in the death of a suspected robber.
According to Sharif Saad, the command’s deputy public relations officer, three additional members of the robbery group were detained while six others managed to flee with gunshot wounds.
In a statement, Saad claimed that the command’s control room had been informed of an armed robbery that had taken place in the Arawa Quarters of the Gombe city.
According to reports, the suspects broke into Alhaji Gidado Muhammad Sani’s home and started shooting randomly while looting the residents of their property.
Additionally, they injured Mohammed Abdullahi, the security guard, many times.
However, the command quickly dispatched the Operation 999 tactical squad to the area in response to the distress call.
“The armed robbers opened fire on the agents when they were spotted, killing Albaru of Kumbiya Quarters. Adamu Usman, alias Bali, 22, of Barunde Quarters, Mustapha Abdullahi, alias Jammaye, 22, of Malam Inna, and Abdullahi Hussaini, alias Danbasi, 21, of Anguwa Uku, were also killed in the gunfight. Six more people are reportedly running from suspected gunshot wounds, according to the statement.
