According to the Adamawa State Police Command, a plot by some alleged kidnappers to kidnap a businessman was thwarted.
“On January 26, 2023, the command operatives attached to the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB), in a persistent effort, foiled an organised crime plot to abduct one Emmanuel Ebel, a resident of Jambutu in Yola North Local Government Area,” the command said in a statement that was received on Saturday afternoon.
According to the statement, which was signed by SP Suleiman Nguroje, the state police public relations officer, the outcome was the result of reliable information about organised crime obtained from a good Samaritan.
The police reported that after getting the information, “the command set up a security ring around the target and fortunate confronted the alleged kidnappers.”
