Police have issued an arrest warrant for Ogboni chief after discovering guns in his Lagos home
Tajudeen Olanrewaju Bakare, an Ogboni leader, has been listed as wanted by the Lagos State Police Command.
Bakare was linked to the deadly altercation in Surulere in a statement released on Thursday by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, public relations officer.
During the visit of PDP governorship candidate Abdulazeez Adeniran, a.k.a. Jandor, supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) engaged in physical altercations.
During the battle last Friday that at least two people died in, rifles and other weapons were used openly.

Hundeyin revealed that a video of a man brandishing a pump-action rifle and endangering public order prompted the police to take action.
Based on useful intelligence, the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) under CSP Egbeyemi conducted a sting operation at Bakare’s home in Surulere.
Three pump-action rifles, a picture frame, a Beretta handgun magazine, one spent 9mm round, one spent and three live rounds, and three pump-action rifles were discovered by the police.
Tajudeen Olanrewaju Bakare, the suspect, is now listed as wanted after narrowly avoiding capture.
Hundeyin continued, “Any helpful information leading to his arrest would be greatly appreciated and treated with the strictest confidentiality.”
