Fifteen individuals have been taken into custody by Edo State Police Command officers on suspicion of being involved in multiple criminal offences throughout the state.
According to Obasanjonews.com, Funsho Adegboye, the State Commissioner of Police, revealed this information on Thursday in Benin City during the suspects’ parade.
According to Adegboye, the suspects were detained on suspicion of murder, cultism, armed robbery, kidnapping, and conspiracy.
He stated that other weapons, ammo, and other exhibits were also taken from the accused by the command.

According to him, the suspects were taken into custody at various points in Benin City, the Etsako West Local Government Area, the Ubiane quarters in Aviele in Esan North East, Awo-Uromi, Amedokhian-Ugboha Road, Ugboha Bush, and Uromi, respectively.
The commissioner stated that his officers used technical intelligence, investigation, reliable intelligence, and bush combing to apprehend the individuals during a stop and search operation.
He stated that agents from the Uromi Division, the anti-kidnapping and cybercrime section, and the Edo North Annex office of the unit, working with vigilante groups and hunters, had apprehended the suspected offenders.
Eight of the individuals detained for kidnapping in Uromi, according to Adegboye, are former felons.
