The Edo State Police Command has apprehended two individuals for the alleged kidnapping of Imubhin Juliet, a pastor at Deeper Life Church in Benin City, as reported by Obasanjonews.com.
The suspects were also accused of attacking church members during the incident. State Police Commissioner Funsho Adegboye revealed the identities of the suspects as Brown John, 26, and Ayodele Aziz, 30.
The arrests were made by the command’s crack team on Benin-Auchi road following a tip-off, two days after the crime took place.
Imubhin Juliet reported that armed men entered the church during worship, robbed them, abducted her, and took her in her Toyota Highlander jeep to an undisclosed location where they forced her to reveal her ATM pin and withdrew money.

The crack team intercepted the vehicle on Auchi Road, leading to its recovery.
Brown John claimed innocence, stating he was accompanying a friend to deliver a vehicle, while Ayodele denied involvement, mentioning that his friend, who is now missing, requested him to escort the vehicle in exchange for money.
The individual clarified that on the ill-fated day, they had attended an OPC meeting. Following the conclusion of the meeting, they proceeded to visit their father at his residence. It is important to note that they were completely unaware of the robbery incident that had taken place during this time.
Recounting the events, they mentioned that they had encountered a friend while at a drinking establishment.
Engaged in conversation and enjoying their beverages, they suddenly received a phone call informing them that a vehicle was being returned to its rightful owner.
Their friend requested their assistance in escorting the vehicle back to its owner, promising monetary compensation for their involvement.
Intrigued by the prospect of earning some money, they agreed to accompany their friend on this task.
