In Asaba, two individuals in possession of illegal hard drugs were taken into custody by the Delta State Commissioner of Police Monitoring Unit.
Emeka Ozumu, 49, and Patrick Otukam, 30, were the suspects that were taken into custody on June 13.
They turned up thirteen bottles of codeine, twenty-three sachets of tramadol, and other hard substances.
In a statement, SP Bright Edafe, the public relations officer for Delta State Police, acknowledged the development.

In the meantime, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, the Commissioner of Police for Delta State, has urged young people to abstain from drug misuse and other sorts of criminal activity because it poses a health risk and may also encourage them to commit crimes.
Olufemi stated that members of the Raiders Squad, Monitoring Unit, and Crack Squad have been sent in to target drug dealers’ hideouts throughout the state.
He threatened to arrest and prosecute anyone found in violation.
