In the early hours of Thursday, a driver named Azeez Babatunde was apprehended by the Maroko Division of the Lagos State Police Command.
The police officers, who were on an anti-crime patrol, noticed a minibus making a sudden U-turn upon spotting them on Hakeem Dickson Street.
Reacting swiftly, the officers pursued the vehicle. As the minibus came to a halt, six individuals fled in different directions.

However, the officers managed to catch up with the vehicle and apprehend the driver, Azeez Babatunde.
Upon conducting a search of the minibus, the police recovered two locally-made pistols, two unexpended cartridges, and a knife.
The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing, as stated by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
