One of the suspected killers of SP Bako Angbashim, a former Divisional Police Officer of the Ahoada Division in Rivers, has been apprehended by police in Bayelsa.
Asinim Butswat, a spokesman for the Bayelsa police, said on Saturday that Onyekachi Ikowa, a 43-year-old suspect who was second in command to TuBaba, the leader of the infamous “Icelander” cult group in Rivers, was taken into custody on November 18.

According to an intelligence source, Ikowa was hibernating in Yenagoa following the brutal murder of Late SP Angbashim in September. Mr. Francis Iduh, the Commissioner of Police in Bayelsa, demanded that Ikowa be brought out of hiding.
Butswat declared, “The suspect has been turned over to the police in Rivers for further investigation.”
