The police have announced that the hostage situation at Hamburg Airport has come to an end.
The 18-hour hostage crisis involving a little child at Hamburg Airport has ended, according to local authorities.
On Saturday night, the offender drove his car past a security checkpoint and onto the airport tarmac, where he parked it beneath an aircraft with his four-year-old daughter inside.
Luckily, he eventually turned himself in “without resistance” and was taken into custody by the authorities.
The infant looks to be unharmed, according to confirmation from the police. However, a number of aircraft entering and exiting the airport were severely disrupted by the incident.
