On Tuesday, July 16th, Linus Williams (aka BLord) was apprehended in Abuja by the Nigeria Police Force for numerous accusations including cryptocurrency deception, facilitating internet fraud and funding terrorism.
A statement by Force spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi on Tuesday confirmed the arrest.
BLORD GROUP, BLORD REAL ESTATE LTD, BLORD JETPAYE LIMITED and BILLPOINT TECHNOLOGY are being investigated by the FCID (NPF-NCCC) in response to allegations of cryptocurrency fraud, assistance with internet fraud activities, computer-related fraudulent acts as well as accusations surrounding terrorism funding. Additionally deemed non-compliant with regulatory frameworks referencing these activities.
