Police Apprehend Trigger-Happy Officer for Fatally Shooting Abuja Resident During Altercation
Oyebuchi Anene, a resident of the Byazhin village in Kubwa, Bwari Area Council, Abuja, was allegedly killed by a trigger-happy cop, according to the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command, which has confirmed the arrest of the officer.
The event occurred on Wednesday close to Haj Estate, where the deceased resided with his young wife and one daughter, according to information obtained by Obasanjonews.com.
The dead struck an okada guy and his passenger in the vicinity while heading home, which sparked trouble.
Witnesses said that before departing the scene to go home in the Haj Estate, the deceased stopped to check on the safety of the Okada rider and his passenger.

The deceased, however, was forced to follow some police officers who had invaded the scene to a station.
An argument between the dead and the police officers resulted from the development.
According to reports, one of the officers fired a tear gas canister at very close range into the deceased’s eye.
After being taken to Kubwa General Hospital, he was transferred to National Hospital, where he passed away on Thursday.
The event was verified to Obasanjonews.com on Friday by SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Command’s Police Public Relations Officer.
According to her, the policeman who caused the “accidental discharge” is being held.
