Farmers and herders have reportedly clashed in the state’s Bali Local Government Area, according to the Nigerian Police Force’s (NPF) Taraba State Command.
The exact number of casualties reported is unknown, though, as conflicting reports from the public and the police have persisted.
As Obasanjonews.com has learned, the altercation happened on Sunday in Maihula town’s Mararaba Azagwa.
More than six individuals died, according to the community, despite the police’s allegation that just two people died.

There is a noticeable amount of tension in the neighbourhood and the LGA as a whole, despite the fact that both sides acknowledged that many people managed to escape with varying degrees of injuries. This is because they were unable to determine the precise number of victims at the time this report was filed.
Only two people were slain in the altercation, according to acting Police Command spokesperson Gambo Kwache, who was speaking with our correspondent.
She further mentioned that the Ball General Hospital is now treating the injured.
The community, on the other hand, claimed that six people—among them a 92-year-old man—were slain and accused the Police of lying.
Members of the community called on the government to intervene by sending extra security personnel to the area, describing the Sallah celebration as violent.
Speaking at the same time, Zaki David Gbaa, the traditional leader of the Tiv ethnic community in Bali council, stated that although six people were killed in the conflict, four more were critically injured and were sent to Bali General Hospital.
