Ogun police warn residents after a victim falls prey to a one-chance robbery, losing N700,000, urging caution.

A notorious one-chance gang that is currently operating along the Sagamu, Ijebu Ode to Mowe Expressway has been brought to public attention by The Ogun State Police Command.

In a statement acquired by Obasanjonews.com, Omolola Odutola – the spokesperson for the command- declared in the later hours of Wednesday.

According to her, the command had received multiple complaints from locals, among them was a case of an individual who got into a car on Wednesday from Kajola and was robbed at gunpoint of N700,000.

The spokesperson cautioned traders and business owners against carrying vast amounts of cash while traveling, but suggested that commuters capture a video clip and forward it to the police media if they’re uncertain about boarding a vehicle.

According to Odutola, there has been a surge of grievances directed towards the Ogun State Police Command regarding the activities of a notorious gang that operates in Sagamu, Ijebu Ode and Mowe.

“If unsure of the vehicle, commuters traveling on that axis are advised to make a video of their next trip and upload it onto police media.”

I urge our traders and business owners to avoid the risk of carrying large amounts of cash when traveling.
