Pogba on Reduced Doping Ban: The Nightmare is Over
Paul Pogba responds to his reduced doping ban with relief, exclaiming, “the nightmare is over.” Explore his reaction and the implications for his football career.
Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has turned to social media to express his response following the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s decision to reduce his doping ban from four years to 18 months.
CAS announced on Friday that Pogba’s suspension has been reduced to 18 months, starting from September 11, 2023.
The Frenchman initially received a four-year suspension from the Italian National Anti-Doping Tribunal in February.
Pogba will become eligible to resume competitive football on March 11, 2025, merely four days ahead of his 32nd birthday.

He expressed, “At last, the nightmare has ended. I can now anticipate a future where I pursue my dreams once more.”
I’ve always maintained that I never knowingly violated any anti-doping regulations. I play with integrity, and I’d like to thank the Court of Arbitration for considering my explanation.
This period has been incredibly distressing for me, as all my hard-earned efforts have been put on hold.
Thank you so much for your love and support. I’m eagerly looking forward to returning to the field!
