Plumptre, Super Falcons defender, is aiming on making his injury comeback in January
Ashleigh Plumptre, a defender for the Super Falcons, plans to start playing again in the new year.
In last weekend’s 8-0 loss to Chelsea for Leicester City, the center-back suffered a hamstring injury.
Plumptre is now anticipated to miss the rest of this year.
The 23-year-old expressed gratitude to her supporters on social media and said she is totally focused on getting back on the playing field.
“Minor injury, but totally committed to making a comeback in 2019”
We appreciate the fans’ ongoing attendance, presence, and support.
Although I recognize that words are just words, there is a shared passion,” she tweeted.
This year, Plumptre has played for the Foxes in 14 league games.
This season, Willie Kirk’s team has yet to win in the Women’s Super League.
