The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, issued a warning to Governor Charles Soludo regarding his handling of security matters in the state, accusing him of prioritizing his political ambitions over the safety of the people.
According to IPOB, Soludo’s alleged desperation for a second term has led him to yield to pressure from what they refer to as the ‘Fulani hegemony’, endangering the residents of Anambra State.
The group called on the residents of Anambra State to unite and combat the rising insecurity in the region, particularly highlighting the activities of Fulani herdsmen in various local government areas.
IPOB emphasized the need for Governor Soludo to refrain from politicizing security issues and to take decisive action to protect the lives of the people of Anambra and Biafra.
The group also warned against any attempts to undermine the efforts of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) in addressing the threats posed by Fulani herdsmen, stressing that they will retaliate if provoked to ensure the safety of Biafrans and their land.
