Dr Nentawe Yilwatda, the 2023 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State, has acknowledged and accepted the Supreme Court’s ruling that upheld Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s election.
Previously, Yilwatda had challenged Mutfwang’s victory and was declared the winner by the Appeal Court on November 19, 2023. However, the apex court overturned this judgment on Friday. In a statement released to the press in Jos on Saturday, Yilwatda extended his congratulations to Mutfwang on his success.
He expressed gratitude to God and humbly accepted the Supreme Court’s decision, emphasizing that they had now reached the final stage of the 2023 general elections process.
Yilwatda also expressed his appreciation for the unwavering support, courage, and dedication of their supporters, highlighting the strong bond and personal sacrifices made by those who believed in the Generation Next Movement. He urged the people of Plateau State and their well-wishers to maintain peace in the region.
