In a span of just a few days, armed groups launched attacks on Bokkos Local Government Area in Plateau State.
However, the violence did not stop there, as the Tangur district in the same local government was attacked on Thursday night.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Bokkos, Monday Kassah, revealed that the attackers set homes ablaze and caused destruction in the community.
Thankfully, due to the timely intervention of security personnel, no deaths were reported.
Kassah also provided an update on the Christmas Day attack, stating that the number of casualties remained at 195 and efforts were underway to locate missing individuals.
The violence extended beyond Bokkos, with neighboring Barkin Ladi also experiencing fatalities.
Plateau State governor Caleb Mutfwang strongly condemned the attacks, describing them as barbaric and unjustified.
The government has pledged to take proactive measures to protect innocent civilians.
The plateau region has long been plagued by religious and ethnic tensions, resulting in numerous deaths and displacements.
Amnesty International criticized the Nigerian authorities for their failure to address the frequent deadly attacks on rural communities in Plateau state.
