On Friday, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of the Plateau expressed happiness at his victory at the Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal.
According to OBASANJO NEWS24, the panel rejected the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) plea and upheld Mutfwang’s election as the state’s elected governor.
Additionally, it stated that the PDP had made legitimate progress and that the nomination and sponsorship of candidates were strictly pre-election matters.
The governor praised the judiciary for enforcing the law and delivering justice as he thanked God and the Plateau people for their support during the battle.
“I want to express my gratitude to God Almighty for making this possible. I want to express my gratitude to the Plateau State residents who have supported us.
He said, “And I want to thank their lordships for having the courage to act in accordance with the laws and the dictates of their conscience.”
By stating that he would focus on accelerating the implementation of his administration’s policies and projects going forward, he gave the people of Plateau assurance that he would keep his word and fulfil his campaign pledges.
“In the next days, we’ll be more proactive, and we’ll move faster on the programmes we’ve already started.
He remarked, “We will make sure that we move at the best speed so that we can fulfil the commitments we have given to our people.
