John Dafaan has been congratulated by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Plateau chapter for winning the Court of Appeal election to become the next member for the Shendam/Qua’an-Pan/Mikang Federal Constituency.
On Friday, the Court of Appeal in Abuja ruled that Dafaan had won and invalidated the election of Representative Isaac Kwallu of the PDP.

APC praised Dafaan’s victory as well-deserved in a statement released in Jos on Tuesday by Mr. Sylvanus Namang, the party’s publicity secretary.
According to Namang, the APC was certain that Dafaan, the former chief of staff of former governor Simon Lalong, would provide his constituents with excellent representation.
He praised the appeal court’s decision and called it a historic triumph.
“The court’s ruling, which was impartial, firm, and unanimous, has, in fact, elevated the judiciary to the status of a sacred house of justice.
Its stance is a wise decision to uphold the independence and integrity of the legal system.
This is despite nefarious attempts by some quarters to use multiple misguided smear campaigns to place the judiciary on an unnecessary social media trial.
“The ruling is momentous in all respects, sound, and unprecedented.
He emphasised, “To put it mildly, the ruling is a revolutionary step in the history of our legal system, as the justices have stood tall and firm in their rulings, despite all the hints and threats.”
