Given their long-standing close friendship, Tinubu’s visit to the Oba of Lagos was expected.

On Saturday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu paid respects to Rilwan Aremu Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos, at his palace.

This came after Guinea Bissau’s President Umaro Sissoco Embaló paid Tinubu a state visit at his home in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Embaló was in the country on a private visit, but he was there to show his support for the leader of Nigeria, according to Dele Alake, Special Adviser to the President for Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy.
