Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, has pledged to end poverty in the north.
On Saturday, he made the remark at a campaign event in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
“I promised the northerners that we would help their children get out of poverty,” he said.
“Our government would be praised in the north because the poverty we have forced upon our children in the north is part of the issue we have.” I would alleviate poverty in the north. I’d instruct the North.
Obi and his running companion, Datti Baba-Ahmed, urged supporters and eligible voters to use their candidatures to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party’s substandard administration during a series of encounters with groups in Maiduguri (PDP).
Speaking to an enthusiastic gathering at Ramat Square, Obi claimed that the LP is the only party with candidates who are qualified to undo the APC’s mistakes.
Given their ages and backgrounds, he claimed that he and his running mate are the only contenders with a youthful appeal.
Only leaders who comprehend the issues will bring about a new Nigeria, according to Obi.
Conversion to Production
If elected president of Nigeria the following month, Obi also pledged to turn the state into a centre for agriculture.

When he was elected to office, he promised to make reducing national insecurity his top goal. “My visit to Borno today has reinforced my dedication,” he stated.
“We must turn the enormous areas in Borno and the entire North into profitable agricultural uses in order to move our nation from consumption to production.”
Along with other party veterans and the party’s national chairman, Julius Abure, the former governor of Anambra attended the ceremony with members of his campaign council.
The entourage travelled to the Pinnacle Hotels for a town hall discussion with adolescents and men following the gathering at Ramat Square.
After that, they went to the Barwee Hotel for another town hall meeting with women and other vulnerable groups before going to the Shehu of Borno’s Palace for a tribute to the elder statesman.
