The Labour Party’s (LP) X website has an urgent message that states that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, would hold a news conference today at 2:00 p.m. from his campaign headquarters in Abuja.
In response to the Supreme Court’s ruling upholding Bola Tinubu’s legitimacy as Nigeria’s legitimately elected president, Obi is anticipated to respond.
Days following the decision, PDP leader Atiku spoke to the media to express his displeasure with the outcome.

He added that, in light of the Supreme Court justices’ decision, Nigeria is the loser.
The Supreme Court upheld the Presidential Election Petition Court’s decision on all grounds on September 6.
In a unanimous decision, the seven-member panel of the highest court, presided over by Justice Inyang Okoro, settled the seven points up for debate in the appeals submitted by Obi and the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate in favour of Tinubu.
The top court ruled in its lead judgement, which Justice Inyang Okoro drafted and read, that Atiku/PDP and Obi/LP’s petitions to overturn the election results lacked merit.
