During the 2023 elections, Peter Obi – the Labour Party’s presidential candidate – expressed condolences to families who lost loved ones during #EndBadGovernance protests.

Since the nationwide protests commenced on Thursday, August 1st, numerous citizens have lost their lives.

Obi utilized his X account, which was verified, to express grief over individuals who lost their lives “during the fight for a more improved country.”

On Friday night, the ex-governor of Anambra State conveyed his deepest sympathies to all families who lost their loved ones during the current demonstrations calling for an end to bad governance.

“I lament the loss of our fellow brethren who have sacrificed their lives in pursuit of a greater country.”
